In addition to therapy, I also offer life coaching for moms who are ready to recharge their batteries and avoid the vicious cycle of burnout through my coaching and consulting business, M. Risser, Inc.
As a coach, I help overwhelmed and exhausted moms optimize their self-care so they have more time and energy to do the things they love.
As a mom, you think about other's needs ALL DAY LONG. It's hard to refill your own cup when you NEVER STOP POURING. You are exhausted under the weight of the mental load and constant demands on your energy and attention.
Coaching can help you:
Put yourself first, without guilt, because you KNOW that you being happy, healthy, and shining your light is good for everyone. COMMUNICATE clearly and directly so your needs are heard the first time, without nagging. Have the CONFIDENCE you need to set boundaries, protect your time and energy and focus on your goals Have fun again, and feel connection and JOY Stay CALM in the chaos, even when the wheels are falling off all around you Having powerful SELF-CARE tools that fit into your busy day, without taking up any extra time or energy.
What's the difference?
Therapy is based on the treatment of a mental health diagnosis and the reduction of symptoms to improve your functioning. Healing comes from understanding past experiences, traumas and patterns of interaction.Therapy is healthcare and is aligned with the medical model, which is why you can use your insurance. Coaching, on the other hand is focused on helping you reach your goals in as direct a way as possible.
Coaching is not:
Individual, couples or family therapy
It IS a proven system developed from almost 2 decades of working with moms.
